Worship Where you Are! Sunday 22nd March 2020
Dear Friends,
Some of you have already downloaded our Mothering Sunday service sheet which you can do in your own homes together for this Sunday. As an experiment, and to get you used to the habit of looking at the website to join with our church community for Sunday worship every week, Trish and I have made a short video as an act of worship for the Bramham Benefice. If you are a regular, a lot of the words will sound familiar – and of course you are welcome to say them along with us.
In future weeks, we will have a brand new order of service which you can print off at home (or pick up one from the back of St Mary’s, Boston Spa or from All Saints’, Bramham). This distinctively Anglican service has been devised by Rev’d Nick for our changing times, and it will be led, not only by our clergy, but hopefully over time, an increasing number of lay people as we work out how all the technology can help us overcome our physical isolation so that we really do “come together” in worship across our villages.
THIS WEEK’S SERVICE
The readings in this service are for Lent 4: Ephesians 5.8-14 and John 9.1-41. You can find these on this week’s Newsletter. Perhaps you might consider printing out the Newsletter for any neighbours who may not be able to access it online? So, click play on the YouTube video below to watch and join in with this week’s Sunday worship.
Note: Rev Nick had an important reason to be in Scarborough: he wasn’t making a random, unnecessary journey, in case you were wondering.
