St Peter’s, Walton

St Peter’s Church looks benevolently down upon her village from its only hill.  The village of Walton stands on rising ground approximately two miles east of Wetherby, and the medieval Church of St. Peter is believed to have been built in the year 1350, though a church has been on this site for much longer. Despite being steeped in village history, the most important thing about St Peter’s is that it is a living place of worship which is loved by its community and is often to be found at the heart of village life.

A church school, Lady Elizabeth Hastings C E (VA) School, is a little over one mile away in Thorp Arch, and we share a number of resources with other churches in the benefice.

Accessibility:

There are a number of steps and a sloping pathway up to church from the road. A toilet is available outside the church, not far from the main entrance.
Limited roadside parking is available outside the church.
